While analyzing the reasons for high reflection of "No Delivery Scan after 5 days of booking" under Nagpur Stg. Hub for last 15 days, it is noticed that inspite of following proper procedure of bag receipt/opening /item received and updating delivery information through speednet system by delivery post offices, the delivery status is not being reflected on India post website. Also the bag receipt and item receipt scan are missing.
In this regard, this office has taken up the matter with CEPT Mysore and the reply (Reason and solution) received from CEPT Mysore is produce as below :-
1) It might be possible that the old speednet communication and the old EMSClient folder is existing as it is after fresh installation and the communication folder paths are not updated to reflect the new speednet communication path, resulting in thedelivery message files being created in the old communication path.
Officials concerned may be instructed to check & configure the correct speednet communication path under Supervisor-->Master--> Environment-->Folder Paths window.
2) As regards the old message files, they can track it in the old communication path and if found, they need to copy them (folder-to-folder) to the new communication path for transmission.
3) Further, it is found that some of the processed message files have been found moved from the "\\EMSClient\TXD\TXD1" folder to the "\\EMSClient\TXD" folder. Due to this, these messages are found lying pending and Speednet communication will not handle these messages further.
The intention might have been to re-transmit the messages & update data again, but it was done without proper knowledge relating to the transmission process and such things should be avoided.
Officials concerned may be instructed to use the resend data option available under Supervisor --> Tools --> Resend Booking & Delivery Messages window in case booking or delivery data is not updated in Speednet MIS even after 24 hours.
It is therefore requested to instruct all System Administrators in your Region/Division to adopt the correct procedure as mentioned by CEPT Mysore at all Post Office in their jurisdiction. So that the communication file will be transmitted to the central server without any obstruction and booking and delivery data may be reflected correctly in central server. It may be help to improve the delivery performance of post offices and also improve the performance of MNOP and Project Arrow.
