Pre-requisites:
- SpeedNet Communication Version 4.4 Update 1 released on 16.06.2016
Instructions for Upgradation:
- Take a print out of the check list and fill up response for each action.
- Ensure that SpeedNet or Speednet Communication is not in use in any system at the time of upgradation.
- Take full backup of existing databases (i.e., POSPCC and POSPCCBACKUP) before attempting upgradation.
- Download the file SpeedOne Updater.exe from the ftp site.
- Copy the SpeedOne Updater.exe to the Speednet folder in the client system and run it from there.
- Run the SpeedOne Updater.exe with administrative rights. Watch for successful execution of each script and update the check list simultaneously.
- Run SpeedNet Communication after upgradation in any one client system so that the database upgradation will not happen repeatedly. This also ensures that version upgradation status messages are created and transmitted to central server for reflection in Speednet MIS.

It has been widely speculated in the web that running the following 'tweak' improves IE8 speed considerably. In actual fact, what it does is fix some holes left by installation processes.
Regardless, there is no bad side effects to this command. Close all IE8 browser windows. Go to Start > Run and enter the command. Please copy and paste in run command.
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
and press Enter. You should get a 'DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded' message.

POSTMAN TO OBTAIN BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION USING HANDHELD DEVICE
The Department of Posts (DoP) is likely to soon start a Rs 1,370-crore mega project that will allow India's 1.3 lakh postmen in rural regions to use network-connected handheld terminals for postal delivery.
The project, awarded last year to a consortium that includes state-run Telecom Consultants of India (TCIL), system integrator Ricoh India and Hyderabad-based VisionTek, which provides handheld devices, was delayed due to unavailability of components.
Big IT companies such as HP and Wipro were also in the running for the contract rolled out by the ministry of communications & information technology. "Based on terminal devices on network, the DoP initiative is likely to happen later this month. The project was delayed as the private company took time to deliver the components," TCIL's chairman and managing director Vimal Wakhlu told ET.
The devices will have a biometric module to authenticate an individual's identity using the Aadhaar number, solar-powered panel for charging terminals and a thermal printer to instantly print receipts.
"This is completely an indigenous project, including devices and components, and strengthens the concept of 'Make in India'," said Wakhlu.
The initiative is aimed at preventing postal losses and minimising procedural delays. The service will require a digital signature of the addressee that can be automatically transferred to a central server and an acknowledgement sent to the person.
TCIL is roping in state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd for providing network connectivity.
The movement of postmen can be tracked using GPS on this device. It will help monitor the entire system and ensure more efficiency as post offices play a vital role in India's rural economy, Wakhlu said. "This programme is a step towards financial inclusion of the people of rural India as it will facilitate financial transactions. Money can be delivered and accepted through this device, with proper bank account and receipts delivery," he said.
Ricoh will act as the systems integrator, managing installations, maintaining hardware and supplying peripheral devices for the project.
"We have won the Rs 1,370-crore contract from DoP for the supply of hardware solutions under the department's modernisation initiatives. Ricoh will be providing maintenance services for rural ICT devices for a period of five years," said Ricoh India's managing director Manoj Kumar.

- Click on Start > type in Search box -> Regedit find at top - >Right Click on - RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
Navigate to this key

In RIGHT PANE double click SHELL - Value Data and the entry should only be explorer.exe .
- If you have ANY other info there please write it down and post it here, and of course change it to the above
Close Regedit and restart.
- Finally,Open command prompt as administrator and Run
MCCAMISH PRINTER SETTINGS FOR ALL TYPE OF PRINTERS
1. Goto Devices and Printers
2. Select Your default printer(like Epson,Tvs,Generic IBM)
3. Click on Print Server Properties(see on top in the above pic)
4. Then tick mark “ Create new form” and enter Printer name as “McCamish_Receipt”
5. Paper Size: width-6.30in, height-1.97in and leave zero for remaining and click on save form. Click on close.
6. Right click on printer and select “Printing Preferences “option. Click on Advanced.
7. Select paper size as “McCamish_Receipt” from drop down list
8. In Graphic option select Print quality and set maximum. For example 240*144 or 240*216 which is available for your printer.
9. In printer features, select “High-speed: Off “for Epson printers. For other printers choose “enable Uni-Direction” option for best printing.
10. Click on apply, Ok.

7th CPC: Govt to consider minimum monthly pay at Rs 24,000; payout to begin from July
New Delhi: With each passing day, the picture of higher monthly payout for central government employees, than what was recommended by the 7th Pay Commission, is emerging clear.
In a meeting with the BJP's labour wing Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Jitendra Prasad, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, told the delegation that government would positively look into the demand of the central government employees. "The minister said we will consider the proposal of minimum pay of at 24,000”, Pawan Kumar, Regional Organizing Secretary told Zee Media Bureau.
The Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh is the largest central trade union organization in India, and claims to have more than 10 million members.
The trade union also sought increase in the Multiplication Factor and changes in the HRA.
The 7th CPC under AK Mathur had proposed Multiplication Factor of 2.57, according to which the fitment of each employee in the new pay matrix is proposed to be done by multiplying his or her basic pay on the date of implementation by a factor of 2.57.
"We are expecting the notification for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission in the last week of June, and payout to begin in July", added Kumar.
He further assured that DoP&T is actively considering for grant of one time relaxation for compassionate appointment in Ministry of Defence. He added that Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh has ruled out possibilities of strike to get a better salary revision under 7th Pay Commission. "We are not part of those who say that we will strike"to get a better pay hike, added Kumar.
As per report, the National Joint Council of Action (NJCA) has decided to serve indefinite strike notice to the Govt on 9th June 2016 and to commence indefinite strike from 11th July 2016, if the Govt fails to come to a negotiated settlement on 7th CPC related issues with the JCM National Council Staff Side.

Our Friends of Maharastra Circle are going on a one day strike on 21/04/2016. The reason for the strike is the miseries caused by Finacle and McCamish for the past one year.

The situation of strike has arisen due to constant neglect of the demands of the association by the management. Our demands of the smooth working of Finacle and McCamish were not taken seriously by the senior authorities in the organization forcing us to take the extreme step like strike and bandh. Finacle and McCamish are not working properly since long and it becomes the moral responsibility of the management to look into the issues and address the grievances of the workers.
The authorities have failed in this matter of urgent importance.
Therefore last but not least administration is for the employee, employee not of the administration. So humble appeal to all postal employees and all com. of AIPEU unions Maharashtra circle stand up against the administration and participate with us shoulder to shoulder. Fight against the injustice.

Did you make any changes to the computer lately?
First of all check if there is any external devices connected to the computer, if yes remove them and check.
Method 1.

Method 2.
Please check whether you face the same issue while logging in the safe mode. It is a possibility that one of the non-microsoft application or a driver is causing this issue. Let us boot into the safe mode and check. If you are able to boot successfully in safe mode we can perform a clean boot to find the root cause.
Step 1.
1. Restart your computer.
2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen.
3. Using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode option you want.
4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Windows 7 Safe Mode.
5. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Windows 7 will enter Safe mode.
6. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.
If it works fine in safe mode try performing a clean boot to find the root cause.
Step 2.
You can try a Clean Boot Troubleshooting method to find which application is causing the problem.

1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

In connection with IT Modernisation, New PCs are supplying to all the post offices in phase manner through DGS&D rate contract. All the HP PCs Supplied through DGS&D rate contract, with out serial and parallel port which are using to connect dot matrix and passbook printers in Post offices.
We have to install either internal or external port for connecting the printers in the newly supplied machine. HP Machine mother board having both PCI and PCI Express slot for installing the PCI Card/ PCI Express Card.
Summary:
- PCIe is much faster compared to PCI.
- PCIe uses a serial interface while PCI uses a parallel interface.
- PCIe speed is classified into lanes, each capable of delivering up to 1GB/s data transfer.
- PCI slots are standardized while PCIe slots vary depending on the number of lanes the slot is intended for.
- Despite PCIe superiority, most manufacturers still use the PCI standard for their devices.
The installation of PCI/PCIe is not advice-able as HP Machines are supplied with 3 Years warranty.USB to Parallel or Serial Port may install in the above said machine. It may not affect the warranty period and it is easy to install. The USB to Parallel / Serial connector is also available in the local market with warranty period of 1 year.

List of Post Offices Migrated to Core Banking Solution (CBS)

Post Offices all over India are preparing for Core Banking Solution. Now India Post employees are frequently saying or using one word i.e. “Migration” in all their conversations. Here migration means changing the POSB platform from Sanchay Post to Finacle, Core Banking Solution (CBS) from Infosys.
India Post started Migration to Core Banking Solution by the end of 2013. The first migration was happened on 16.12.2013 at Greams Road S.O under Thygarayanagar HO in Chennai City Region of Tamil Nadu Circle.
Now Post Offices from all 22 Postal Circles have been included in the migrated list. Total of 12150 Post offices including 805 Head Post Offices and 11345 Sub Offices have been rolled out for CBS until now. All Post Offices in India will be migrated to CBS by the end of March 2016.
Compared to nationalised banks that switch over to CBS in earlier stage especially SBI, the migration process of India Post was very speedy and it was within the time frame work.
